KCP’s leadership has direct, hands-on experience with major LNG initiatives across Canada, including Bear Head LNG, Kitimat LNG, LNG Canada, Port Edward LNG, Summit LNG, and Steelhead LNG, all of which successfully integrated Indigenous participation and equity models. This background positions KCP to de-risk project development and accelerate execution.

Our President and CEO

Mr. Mersereau is a geologist by training albeit with 30 years experience developing infrastructure projects in the power, natural gas and LNG sectors. For the past 15 years he has held leadership and advisory positions with LNG projects proposed for Nova Scotia and several projects proposed for the west coast of British Columbia.

Our VP of Finance

Mr. Hilliard is a Principal of Northern Prince LNG Inc. and has been driving innovation in the Canadian LNG sector since 2010. With a career beginning at one of Canada’s premier investment dealers, he has held senior leadership roles for over three decades, specializing in linking capital with strategic, high-value ventures.

Mr. Hilliard’s LNG experience includes navigating complex federal and provincial regulatory processes, achieving full environmental and industrial approvals, and building long-standing relationships with Indigenous communities. His rail-based LNG transport strategies have proven to deliver earlier cash flow and strong national economic benefits.

Our Vice President, Government Relations and Defence Integration

As a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces, Patrick brings a rare combination of strategic foresight and adaptive leadership, grounded in accountability and operational discipline to his role as a Vice President at Wapusk.
With over a decade and a half long military career, he led teams in high-risk, rapidly evolving environments where success depended on flexible planning, decentralized decision making and the ability to reassess priorities in real time. This experience fostered a disciplined yet agile approach to leadership, balancing risk and opportunity, while fostering and empowering teams to complete their missions.
